Guided: a Socratic AI tutor
Guided is a Socratic AI tutor for students aged 13 and up, made in Berlin, Germany. Instead of giving away
answers, it asks the questions that build real understanding. It is curriculum-aware for the German Abitur
and adapts to your Bundesland. From September 2026 it runs with a first wave of pilot schools; the public
version 1 comes in February 2027. Until then Guided is a closed beta, as a web app and a native iOS app.

How it works
- Ask about any topic or homework problem.
- Guided replies with guiding questions, hints, and examples, not the finished solution.
- It checks your understanding step by step until you can solve it yourself.
Who it is for

consent. Teachers can set Guided up for a whole classroom: create a classroom, share a code or QR code,

Accounts and learning data are processed in the EU (Frankfurt) under the GDPR. A pseudonymisation step

How is Guided different from ChatGPT and other AIs?
ChatGPT and other AIs give you the answer. Guided asks the questions that help you find it yourself. It is a
Socratic tutor that nudges, hints, and checks your understanding step by step, so you actually learn the
material instead of copying it.
Will it just do my homework for me?
No. Guided leads with questions, examples, and hints first, so you solve it yourself. If you are really
stuck, it works through the problem together with you and explains every step, so you learn the method
instead of copying a result.
Who is it for?
Students from age 13 (around year 7 and up) through Abitur, GCSE or IB exam prep. Under 16, sign-up needs
a parent's or guardian's consent. Teachers can also set Guided up for a whole classroom.
Which subjects does it cover?
Maths, the sciences, humanities, languages, and more. You can add your own subjects, and Guided adapts to
your curriculum (German Bundesland for the Abitur, your school, your level).
Is my data safe?

within the EU. A pseudonymisation step for AI processing is in development, and statistics only ever use

How much does it cost?
Nothing during the pilot. Guided is free while it runs with the pilot schools, and classrooms stay free
for schools and teachers. Paid student tiers arrive with version 1 in February 2027.
When does Guided launch?
In stages. From September 2026 Guided runs with a first wave of four to five pilot schools, and more
follow after the autumn holidays. The public version 1 comes in February 2027. Until then Guided is a
closed beta and sign-ups go through the waitlist.
How do I get started as a teacher?
Create a classroom, share the join code or QR code with your class, and optionally upload your material.
It takes minutes, needs no IT setup and no contracts, and is free for schools. Contact:

Is there an app?
Guided runs in any browser on your phone, tablet or laptop, with no install needed. A dedicated iOS app is in
beta, and Android is on the roadmap.
Who is behind Guided?
Three students in Berlin who built the tutor they wished they had had. Guided is an independent startup,

Ab September 2026 läuft Guided mit einer ersten Welle von Pilotschulen, die öffentliche Version 1

So funktioniert es
- Stell eine Frage zu einem Thema oder einer Hausaufgabe.
- Guided antwortet mit leitenden Fragen, Hinweisen und Beispielen, nicht mit der fertigen Lösung.
- Schritt für Schritt prüft es dein Verständnis, bis du die Aufgabe selbst lösen kannst.
Für wen ist Guided?
Für Schülerinnen und Schüler ab 13 Jahren (etwa ab Klasse 7) bis zur Abiturvorbereitung. Unter 16
willigen die Eltern bei der Anmeldung ein. Lehrkräfte können Guided für eine ganze Klasse einrichten:
Klassenraum anlegen, Code oder QR-Code teilen, optional Material hochladen. Für Schulen und Lehrkräfte
kostenlos.
Welche Fächer deckt Guided ab?
Mathe, Naturwissenschaften, Gesellschaftsfächer, Sprachen und mehr. Du kannst eigene Fächer
hinzufügen, und Guided passt sich deinem Lehrplan an (Bundesland fürs Abitur, deine Schule, dein Niveau).
Ist Guided eine Alternative zu ChatGPT?
Ja, aber mit dem umgekehrten Ansatz: ChatGPT gibt dir die fertige Antwort, Guided stellt dir die Fragen,
mit denen du selbst darauf kommst. Guided macht deine Hausaufgaben bewusst nicht für dich, es hilft dir,
sie zu verstehen.

Es ist ein sokratischer Tutor, der mit Hinweisen anstupst und Schritt für Schritt dein Verständnis prüft,
damit du den Stoff wirklich lernst, statt ihn abzuschreiben.
Macht Guided einfach meine Hausaufgaben?
Nein. Guided führt dich zuerst mit Fragen, Beispielen und Hinweisen, damit du selbst draufkommst. Wenn du
wirklich feststeckst, löst es die Aufgabe gemeinsam mit dir und erklärt jeden Schritt, damit du die
Methode lernst, statt ein Ergebnis abzuschreiben.
Sind meine Daten sicher?
Konten und Lerndaten werden in der EU (Frankfurt) nach DSGVO verarbeitet. Eine Pseudonymisierungs-Stufe
für die KI-Verarbeitung wird entwickelt, Statistik nutzt ausschließlich anonymisierte Daten. Es gibt
keine Werbung, wir verkaufen deine Daten nicht und nutzen sie nicht, um KI-Modelle zu trainieren. Chats
sind privat für dein Konto.
Was kostet Guided?
In der Pilotphase nichts. Guided ist kostenlos, solange es mit den Pilotschulen läuft, und
Klassenräume bleiben für Schulen und Lehrkräfte kostenlos. Bezahlte Schüler-Tarife kommen mit
Version 1 im Februar 2027.
Wann startet Guided offiziell?
In Etappen. Ab September 2026 läuft Guided mit einer ersten Welle von vier bis fünf Pilotschulen,
